Description: Nicely gilted one-piece Artillery coat button. This example has a low-convex face, and the stand-up shank is intact. The face and back still retain quite a bit of gilt with wear to the high points. Tice states that these buttons were manufactured between 1821 through the early 1830’s.
Backmark: "ROBINSONS / (dot) (star) (dot) EXTRA (dot) (star) (dot) " rm between two pairs of rings
