Z1645 Confederate 24lb. Coehorn Mortar Shell

Description: Nice Confederate 24lb. coehorn mortar shell. These smaller coehorn mortars were produced by the Confederacy and are thought to have been produced at the Tredegar Iron Works. This example has tong holes on both sides of the fuse hole. This aided in correctly placing the shell in the bore of the mortar. This one has been cleaned and coated for your enjoyment.

Measures: 5.68" in diameter
